Certificate in Interior Design
Length: 10 weeks
The Certificate course in Interior Design is a 10 week, more intensive route to acquiring the most essential principles and skills of the interior design profession, in preparation for either a specialist career or as a strong basis for further studies within this field. On completion of the Certificate course you are then eligible to enrol for the Professional Diploma in Interior Design.

- Finding ideas and enhancing your creative thinking
- Development of style
- Sketching and drawing
- Planning an interior
- Finishing materials, textiles, upholstery, accessories.
- Technical aspects of an interior
- Colour theory and psychology of colour
- Furniture
- Light
- Design trends
- Professional practice
- Presentation skills
An ongoing design project will be undertaken by each student and then presented on completion of the course. A complement to, or extension of this Certificate course could be Drawing for Designers, CAD or Professional Diploma in Interior Design.
