Drawing for Beginners

7 consecutive evenings, 18:30-21:30

Designed for those with no previous drawing experience as well as those who wish to expand their repertoire and experiment with new ideas, this course will provide you with the skills fundamental in the understanding of materials and techniques, building towards a creative approach to visual expression.

Your creativity will develop around the structure of an introduction to mark-making techniques, the study of human proportion and compositional skills, together with instruction on the use of drawing inks, both with the nib and the brush, collage, and a grounding in contemporary art and art history.

These skills will be crucial if you wish to continue onto exploring painting and further drawing techniques.

The course will culminate in the study of combined practice, in which all acquired techniques will be brought together, forming a basis for the further development and creation of your artwork.
